The recent renovation has given back the original harmony to the porch of the façade, which has become a perfect place for admiring the spectacular view. Beneath the arches on the ground floor we have found a large outdoor oven where bread used to be baked, and a secret staircase to the villa above. The park around the swimming pool is also prettier with aromatic bushes, lawns, hedges and large terracotta vases full of flowers. There is even a well equipped area for eating in the shade of the oak trees.

A small change inside the villa too, in the dining room where the fireplace is we have added six antique glass lamps from the beginning of the twentieth century.

This morning we woke up with a beautiful white landscape all around and the typical Christmas atmosphere!!

During the convention "Piacere del Vino: tra mito paesaggio e turismo"  held on Sunday November 8th at Castello di Riomaggiore in the Parco Nazionale delle 5 Terre, we  presented our  Progetto Prime Donne as an example of transforming a location into a perfomng winery and into a tourist destination.

The Casato Prime Donne Brunello 2004 is one of the Top 100 Italian wines 2009 chosen by Paolo Massobrio and Marco Gatti. This much sought after recognition was awarded to Donatella Cinelli Colombini on Sunday November the 8th in Milan during “Golosaria” – a culture and taste event organized by the Club Papillon. <<I love Montalcino>>  Massobrio said during the award giving <<and this woman has done more than anyone else for that territory>>.

Fattoria del Colle is in its “foliage” period, the autumn leaves become red, yellow and brown before falling from the trees. This is a beautiful unique landscape and walking through the woods one has the impression of being under  a cascade of gold.  

Saturday 10th October the Casato Prime Donne winery welcomed the meeting of the MG CAR CLUB. After having driven among the Sangiovese vineyards and the works of contemporary art of the Winery with their beautiful cars, the members of the club have bben guided in a visit of the cellars and a tastng of Rosso and Brunello di Montalcino
