This event awards those who promote, photograph, or study the territory of Montalcino and its wines. The main prize is given to a female figure distinguished in enhancing the role of women in society and in the working world. Among the winners are Kerry Kennedy, supporter of human rights, and the Cabrinian nuns of the first female missionary order, the voluntary workers of the Telefono Rosa association, working in aid of women who have been subjected to violence and in 2007 Frances Mayes. The President of the jury is Francesca Colombini. The other members are Ilda Bartoloni, Rosy Bindi, Anselma Dell’Olio, Marialina Marcucci, Melania Mazzucco and Anna Pesenti.
