Frances Mayes author of Under the Tuscan Sun is the Prima Donna 2007 Prizes given also for the science of wine making and for the best literature regarding the Montalcino territory. The Manifesto delle Pari Opportunità  in cantina has been signed by 18 pink ribbon wineries. The woman who has made the whole world fall in love with the southern Tuscany is the winner of the Casato Prime Donne award, assigned on September 15th 2007 in the Montalcino theatre. The President of the jury of the Casato Prime Donne award Francesca Colombini Cinelli and the other members, Ilda Bartoloni, Rosy Bindi, Anselma Dell'Olio, Marialina Marcucci, Melania Mazzucco and Anna Pesenti have seen in Frances Mayes an example of new femininity, which is creative, anti conformist and able to dialogue with people all over the world. Awards went also to the best contributions of the science of wine making, photography and journalism regarding the Montalcino territory. Claudio Galletti awarded the Provincia di Siena prize to the enologists of the Universities of Bordeaux and Reims P.Ribàreau-Gayon, D.Dubourdieu, B.Doneche, A. Lonvaud, Yves Glories, Alain Maujean for their monumental enology treaty. Il Premio Casato Prime Donne 2006 alle volontarie del Telefono Rosa
Consegnato il 16 settembre nel teatro di Montalcino alla Presidente Carnieri Moscatelli che guida le 70 volontarie a cui è affidato l’ascolto e il sostegno delle donne oggetto di violenza. L’edizione 2006 dedicata al Sindaco di Montalcino Massimo Ferretti morto prematuramente il 2 aprile scorso.

“Più forti insieme” questo è il motto delle volontarie del  Telefono Rosa a cui è stato assegnato il “Premio Casato Prime Donne” nel teatro di Montalcino il 16 settembre scorso. Il premio porta il nome di una cantina di Brunello, l’unica in Italia dove lavorano solo donne, che è ormai un simbolo della nuova femminilità e della grande enologia italiane. Viene assegnato ogni anno alle protagoniste dell’emancipazione umana, sociale ed economica delle donne. Nella giuria presieduta da Francesca Colombini,  ci sono Ilda Bartoloni, il Ministro Rosy Bindi, Anselma Dell’Olio, Marialina Marcucci, Melania Mazzucco e Anna Pesenti. Il Premio Casato Prime Donne arriva in un momento delicato “Quest’anno è cresciuta la violenza sessuale, le denunce sono aumentate. Il dato preoccupante è l’abbassamento dell’età delle ragazze vittime di violenze e dei ragazzi autori di tali violenze” spiega Maria Gabriella Carnieri Moscatelli Presidente dell’Associazione. Dal 1988 sono circa seicentomila le donne che si sono rivolte ai centralini del Telefono Rosa di Roma, Torino, Mantova, Verona e Vicenza.

Le altre sezioni del Premio Casato Prime Donne hanno avuto oltre cento concorrenti divisi nelle sezioni di giornalismo, fotografia e ricerca vitivinicola. Il Premio Provincia di Siena per la letteratura e scienza vitivinicola, consegnato  dall’Assessore Claudio Galletti è andato a Cesare Intrieri Professore Ordinario all’Università di Bologna, autore di libri e articoli sulla viticoltura innovativa. Il Presidente della Camera di Commercio di Siena Vittorio Galgani ha premiato la miglior foto sul tema “Genti e terre dei vini Brunello e Orcia” . La giuria popolare di 50 membri ha scelto l’immagine di   Andrea Rabissi. Il premio MPS Banca per l’Impresa sul tema “Qualità, ambiente, paesaggio: sviluppo sostenibile”  è   andato a Fabio Piccoli per il libro La comunicazione nel Food & Beverage manuale pratico di comunicazione. Il Comune di Montalcino ha consegnato il suo premio a Isabella Mezza per il servizio di “Agritre”trasmesso nel telegiornale del terzo canale RAI. Jan Van Lissum e Fred Nijhuis ricevono il premio del Consorzio del Brunello di Montalcino per l’articolo De Klassiekers uit Toscane pubblicato nella rivista olandese “Proefschrift”. Premio “Montalcino la sua storia, la sua arte e il suo vino descritti da una donna” è stato assegnato a Paola Iadeluca per tre articoli di “Affari & Finanza” e “Viaggi di Repubblica”.

Sono Suore missionarie “Cabriniane” le vincitrici del Premio Casato Prime Donne 2005. Le dediche delle vincitrici delle passate edizioni del premio Paola Capriolo, Carla Fracci, Marta Morazzoni, Francesca Sanvitale e Kerry Kennedy  in un sentiero meditativo nei vigneti di Brunello.

Il premio “Casato Prime Donne” è stato assegnato il 17 settembre a Montalcino alle Suore del Sacro Cuore di Gesù  “Cabriniane”. Un modello di femminilità e insieme di religiosità fondata sull’amore del prossimo e opposto dall’integralismo religioso che insanguina i nostri giorni. Le dediche delle vincitrici 2000 - 2004 del Premio “Casato Prime Donne” Carla Fracci, Kerry Kennedy, Paola Capriolo, Marta Morazzoni e Francesca Sanvitale sono per sempre nella campagna di Montalcino, commentano ora le soste di un percorso nei vigneti di Brunello dove ci sono anche spiegazioni sui luoghi e opere d’arte contemporanea, la prima delle quali, la vacca chianina “Ardita” di Marco Pignattai, già installata. La Presidente Francesca Colombini Cinelli e le giurate del premio “Casato Prime Donne” Ilda Bartoloni, Rosy Bindi, Anselma Dell’Olio, Dacia Maraini, Marialina Marcucci e Anna Pesenti  hanno dunque scelto, come “Prime Donne” 2005, le suore del Sacro Cuore di Gesù, ordine fondato da Santa Francesca Saverio Cabrini e operante in alcune aree a rischio come l’Etiopia, lo Swaziland oltre che in molte zone povere del mondo dove svolgono attività di promozione umana specialmente in favore di donne e bambini. Il premio “Casato Prime Donne” viene assegnato anche a chi studia, divulga e fotografa il territorio del Brunello e della Doc Orcia. Nella sezione “Provincia di Siena” premio per la letteratura e scienza vitivinicola ha vinto ROSEMARY GEORGE una Master of Wine inglese che ha scritto il libro Treading Grapes. Il Premio Camera di Commercio di Siena per fotografie sul tema “Genti e terre dei vini Brunello e Orcia”è stato consegnato dal Presidente Vittorio Galgani a BRUNO BRUCHI autore di un’immagine pubblicata nel pubblicata nel volume Il paesaggio Toscano. La nuova sezione MPS Banca per l’Impresa sul tema “Qualità ambiente paesaggio: sviluppo sostenibile” ha avuto come primo vincitore il libro Orcia Miseria  pubblicato in occasione dell’iscrizione della Val d’Orcia nel patrimonio dell’umanità dell’Unesco. Il Sindaco di Montalcino Massimo Ferretti ha consegnato il Premio “Comune di Montalcino” a BARBARA CILENTI per l’articolo Non ha più segreti la Fortezza degli etruschi pubblicato nel “Corriere della Sera. Il Premio del Consorzio del Brunello di Montalcino è andato a ROBERTO SCARDOVA per il programma E il vino nacque due volte trasmesso su Rai 3. “Montalcino la sua storia, la sua arte, il suo vino descritti da una donna” è stata assegnata ex equo a CATERINA BIZZARRI per  il servizio televisivo sul Brunello trasmesso sul telegiornale de La7 e a KATE SINGLETON per l’articolo Italy’s elegant organic wines pubblicato nell’“International Herald Tribune”. Il premio destinato al giornalismo femminile di argomento enologico è in diretta correlazione con l’azienda Casato Prime Donne che promuove l’iniziativa. Si tratta dell’unica cantina italiana con un organico interamente di donne dove il Premio 2005 è stato solennizzato con la nascita di un nuovo vino “Il Drago e le 7 colombe”.
