The panorama Safari

A weekend dedicated to direct contact with the countryside that surrounds us between the Crete Senesi, the Val d'Orcia and Fattoria del Colle. Here you will visit the 16th century villa and the family home, with its fireplace so large that you can sit inside it, the coat of arms hall, and the apartment that once belonged to the Granduca Leopoldo di Toscana, who lived here during the draining of the marshes in Valdichiana.

FRIDAY:

arrival on the estate , settle into the rooms or apartments

possibility of dining in the Osteria di Donatella, our restaurant, with special menus with a theme, to discover the flavours of our traditional local cuisine

SATURDAY:

8.30 – 10.00 breakfast with home baked cakes and biscuits made by our patisseur Patrizia, cold meats, cheese, "pinzimonio" and omelettes matched with tea and coffee.

To be booked during the day: Safari dei Panorami, for hunters of art, of nature and of all that is delicious. 4 hours on mostly dirt tracks, use of a cross country vehicle, expert chauffeur-guide, stop off in the most suggestive spots where one toasts the beautiful landscape and has a snack, and then a couple of nice walks. Possible itineraries: Crete Senesi, Val d'Orcia, "Unknown countryside".

SUNDAY:

Guided tour of the Fattoria del Colle, the 16th century villa, the bedroom that once belonged to the Granduca di Toscana and the other historic halls, followed then by a tour of the production and ageing cellars of the Chianti Superiore wine that begins with the medieval hermitage and reaches under the roof where the Vin Santo caratelli are kept. Finally a guided tasting of Leone Rosso that now has a new label and has become Orcia DOC.
