Brunello di Montalcino DOCG

This wine comes from two small Sangiovese vineyards of 11 hectares surrounding a building built in the 16th century, "Casato Prime Donne" in  Montalcino. Here the Brunello spends at least two years in aok barrels and tonneaux. Among the barrels are frescoes of the history of Montalcino

Brunello di Montalcino Prime Donne is selected by a tasting panel composed of four female taters Maureen Ashley, Master of Wine, the wine shop owner and expert Astrid Schwarz, one of the best Italian sommeliers Daniela Scrobogna and the Italo-American PR Marina Thompson; for Casato Prime Donne they choose a traditional Brunello refined in big barrels 

Rosso di Montalcino DOC

rosso di_ montalcino_ 2004Donatella Cinelli Colombini has dedicated the label of Rosso di Montalcino to her family, the three doves represent Donatella, her daughter Violante and her husband Carlo who shares with his wife a great passion for red wines. This Rosso di Montalcino, Casato Primer Donne, is refined for at least one year in oak barrels which enhance its powerful structure.

Grappa di Brunello

In the winery Casato Prime Donne in Montalcino it is possible to buy grappa di Brunello. This is obtained from grape-skins which are fermented and steam distilled in a discontinuous still straight after the racking. It is aged in oak casks
