Customer satisfaction for Italian restaurants appreciated on the web exceeds 85%, especially the reception and less the price. On top are Tuscany, Umbria and Veneto.

The Travel Appeal report analyses every year the reviews in the main online tourist portals that for half concerns restaurants. In the period September 2018-August 2019 customer ratings were over twenty million and therefore constitute a very large sample of evaluation.

TRAVEL APPEAL AND ONLINE JUDGMENT ON ITALIAN RESTAURANTS

The 87.9% of the customers of Italian restaurants gave a favourable opinion to the experience and especially to the way in which they were welcomed, an element that appears the most appreciated with 90% of the consensus.

The friendliness of relationships with those who serve meals is even more appreciated than the food that is appreciated by86.7% of diners.
What is instead indigestible is the price, well accepted only to 61% of customers, while in Italian restaurants the location, the aesthetic and cleanliness is liked.
Foreign judgements are only 18% of the total but are favourable. The most enthusiastic, as was predictable, are the Americans who express 89.6% of the appreciation, followed by the British, German, Spanish and French.
The regions with a better “approval index” is Tuscany (85%), followed by Umbria and Veneto

WHERE REVIEWS OF ITALIAN RESTAURANTS ARE PUBLISHED

A curious fact concerns the portals of reviews preferred by users. In the hotel sector, Google and Booking alone have 80% of total reviews, with a growth in the last year of 20% for the first and a decrease of 6% for the second. …
