ROOMS OF THE 16TH-CENTURY VILLA, CHAPEL, ANCIENT GARDENS, HISTORIC CELLAR WITH ITINERANT TASTING
For tourists and families. 400 years of fascinating and entertaining stories in one of the very few historic Italian homes still inhabited and open to visitors. Tasting of 3 wines along the way.
The tour of the 16th-century villa, still inhabited by Donatella Cinelli Colombini, includes the kitchen with its monumental fireplace, the coats of arms room, the billiard room, and perhaps the room built for the secret love affairs of Grand Duke Pietro Leopoldo of Tuscany.
The objects and rooms provide inspiration for anecdotes and curiosities about the past. The tour continues in the chapel of San Clemente, the Italian garden, and the historic cellar with its barrel and vinsantaia.
Three wines are tasted at three points along the route: Leone Rosso DOC Orcia, Supertuscan Il Drago e le Otto Colombe IGT, and finally, the Brunello di Montalcino DOCG, accompanied by diced bread and pecorino cheese in the cellar.
