An extra virgin olive oil for children, packaged in small metal tins featuring labels covered in monsters. It aims to help children fall in love with the earth’s healthiest product: olive oil.
The little monsters on the label are the “Gangheretti,” characters created by painter Alessandro Grazi. They are mischievous sprites who inhabit Fattoria del Colle and star in a fairy tale written by Donatella Cinelli Colombini, published in the collection *La Moglie di Coccio e altre novelle quasi vere* (2015).
The tins come in small sizes (0.25L and 0.50L) so children can easily hold them, and they feature a designated space where each child can write their own name.
This organic extra virgin olive oil comes from the 6 hectares of olive groves at Fattoria del Colle, located in the heart of inland Tuscany. The groves sit on high, breezy hills (400 meters above sea level) with sandy soil—a landscape where olive trees have been cultivated for over 2,000 years. The olives—from the Correggiolo (Frantoio) and Moraiolo varieties—are harvested by hand using small rakes between October and November.
