FRIDAY
Arrival at Fattoria del Colle, settle into the rooms or apartments at Fattoria del Colle where the furniture is antique and the comfort is modern, including Wi-Fi. The estate is in fact a small hamlet with a villa and chapel dating back to the 16th century.
8,00 PM Dinner at the Osteria di Donatella, with a menu that introduces the territory with traditional Sienese recipes: passato di ceci, pinci al sugo di nana, peposo dei fornaciai di Petroio, ricciarelli and cantucci together with Chianti Superiore and Doc Orcia Cenerentola produced in the Fattoria del Colle winery
SATURDAY
8,30-9,30 am Buffet breakfast with handmade cakes and biscuits, local cold cuts, extra virgin olive oil dips, as well as coffee and tea.
10 ,00 am Transfer to Montalcino ( with your own car ) , to the Casato Prime Donne winery
11,00 am guided tour of the Casato Prime Donne winery, with an itinerant “vertical tasting” that begins with a barrel tasting of the future Brunello, and continues with Rosso di Montalcino and includes Brunello and Brunello Riserva.
12 midday. Walk through the vineyards of Sangiovese where the Brunello wine is born
3,30 pm Fattoria del Colle, historic cellar, Master class on Tuscan wines, its most important appellations and the main Tuscan variety, Sangiovese. Information, anecdotes, concepts and myths.
5,00 pm Guided tasting of Vernaccia, Chianti Classico, Vino Nobile di Montepulciano and Bolgheri
8,00 pm Dinner with tasting menu, 3 courses matched with Rosso and Brunello di Montalcino
SUNDAY
Breakfast
10,30 am Guided tour of the historic halls of the villa, the chapel and wine cellar of Fattoria del Colle. During the tour barrel tasting of wines aged in tonneaux and barrels.
11,30 am The “Winemaker Experience” almost like a game, but not really, this experience will allow each participant to create their very own “Supertuscan” wine, and to understand how to balance alcohol, tannins, acids and fruit in order to obtain the perfect harmony. In the end everyone will get to name their wine and bottle it to take it home. Everybody is awarded a diploma
