This is an intense and unforgettable experience. Brief lesson and lots of guided tastings, visits to the vineyards and to the wineries to learn that Chianti is not produced in Chianti Classico, or how one prunes a vine in the winter and how to cut it back in the summer, what tastes a barrique or a tonneau or a barrel gives the wine…tasting 15 wines and many Tuscan dishes.
A weekend with two nights and two days full of experiences and discoveries to “jump into “ Tuscan wine.

FRIDAY
Arrival at Fattoria del Colle , settle into the rooms or apartments at Fattoria del Colle where the furniture is antique and the comfort is modern, including WiFi.
The estate is in fact a small hamlet with a villa and chapel dating back to the 16th century.
8.00 pm Dinner at the Osteria di Donatella, with a menù that introduces the territory: traditional Sienese recipes: passato di ceci, pinci al sugo di nana, peposo dei fornaciai di Petroio, ricciarelli and cantucci together with Chianti Superiore and Doc Orcia Cenerentola produced in the Fattoria del Colle winery
SATURDAY
8.30-10.00 am Buffet breakfast with handmade cakes and biscuits, local cold cuts, extra virgin olive oil dips, as well as coffee and tea.
10.30 am Lesson on Tuscan wine, the most important denominations and the main Tuscan grape variety the Sangiovese. Explanations and anecdotes, some knowledge and some legends
11.30 am Guided tasting of Vernaccia, Chianti Classico, Vino Nobile di Montepulciano and Bolgheri
12.30 am Light lunch with cheeses selected by the ONAF taster and famous producer Andrea Magi matched with the Tuscan wines analysed during the lesson. Tour in the Sangiovese vineyards. Delivering of the lecture notes.
2.00 pm drive to Montalcino to Casato Prime Donne winery, with own car.
3.30 pm guided tour of Casato Prime Donne winery and “vertical” itinerant tasting starting with a future Brunello wine barrel tasting, and proceeding with Rosso di Montalcino, Brunello and Brunello Riserva.
4.30 pm Walk through the vineyards of Sangiovese that will become Brunello wine
Return to Fattoria del Colle
8.00 pm Dinner with tasting menu, 4 courses matched with Rosso and Brunello di Montalcino.
SUNDAY
8.30-10.00 am Buffet breakfast with handmade cakes and biscuits, local cold cuts, extra virgin olive oil dips, as well as coffee and tea.
10.00 am Guided tour of the historic halls of the villa, the chapel and wine cellar of Fattoria del Colle. During the tour barrel tasting of wines aged in barriques, tonneau and wooden casks.
11.00 am The “Winemaker Experience” almost like a game, but not really, the experience will allow the partecipants to create their very own “Supertuscan” wine, and to aunserstand how to balance alchool, tannins, acids and fruit in order to obtain the perfect harmony. In the end everyone will get to name their wine and bottle it to bring it home, and receive a diploma.
12.30 am Brunch with “pappardelle al sugo bugiardo” and typical cold cuts board with the Supertuscan Il Drago e le 8 colombe
