Our tour begins in the organic vineyards, where you can touch the Sangiovese and Foglia Tonda vines and understand the stages of their growing cycle.
The visit continues in the winemaking room, where various containers are used to create wine: steel vats, concrete truncated- cone shaped vats, amphorae, and Clayver… The “sound room” offers a truly unique experience, where you can learn to listen to the vines throughout the four seasons and at different times of the day.
In the basement of the 16th-century villa, the tour continues into the barrel cellar with its casks and barrels. You can climb up to the attic where the vinsantaia is located and descend into Donatella Cinelli Colombini’s personal wine cellar and the Brunello antiquarian cellar. These are almost secret and places full of charm.
The tour concludes with a tasting of three excellent wines: Chianti Superiore DOCG, Cenerentola Orcia DOC, and Brunello di Montalcino DOCG. All accompanied by diced aged Tuscan salami.
