An evening out of the ordinary, practically among family, all welcomed by the host Donatella Cinelli Colombini, President of the Lions Club , who offered a traditional Sienese dinner

In addition to the club members there was also the Presidente di circoscrizione Luciano Micheli, the Area representative Giancarlo Batignani, the President of the Lions Club di Chiusi Giannetto Marchettini with their companions and Maria Raffaella Lambardi coordinator GLT.

Then, in the historic cellar at Fattoria del Colle, the magic moment of the evening took place with the presentation of the book “Isole” by Gabriella Vittoria Romano (CDG Kpkomoro pp. 142 € 13) and the piano concert by Natalio Mangalavite .

Lets go in order, starting from the book. It is the first literary work by Romano

where she tells 4 stories about women, they are mostly autobiographical. The protagonists all experience difficult situations which cause great suffering but all find inner peace in the end.

A process, which according to the author, transforms the individual islands becomes an archipelago making the women become propagators of creating peace in one’s own community and all over the world. A message which is coherent with the Lions goals with the sentence <<creating and stimulating a spirit of comprehension among the world’s populations >> puts in prime position the transformation of single individuals into peace operators.

Gabriella’s companion is the pianist and composer Natalio Mangalavite, born in Argentina and has lived in Europe for the past 20 years. He has collaborated with Fabio Concato, Ornella Vannoni, Javier Girotto, Peppe Servillo and

Fabrizio Bosso. His music styles include pop, jazz and ethnic each time with enormous expressive intensity. He has dedicated three different pieces of music for the piano to Gabriella and one song, underlining with the power of sound the power of the messages in the book: women are generators of life and peace. It is the same << potential which women can use for peace and democracy >> written in the motivation behind the Nobel prize for peace 2011 assigned to two women from Liberia and one from Yemen.
