MEMORABLE EXPERIENCES AT CASATO PRIME DONNE AND FATTORIA DEL COLLE IN TUSCANY FOR THE 2024 EDITION OF CANTINE APERTE DEDICATED TO GREAT WINES AND DOP TUSCAN BREAD

Donatella Cinelli Colombini celebrates Cantine Aperte on 25-26 May 2024 by offering wine lovers who come to her wineries two different and memorable experiences. Itinerant tastings inside and outside the cellars interspersed with stories, tastings of great Brunello and Orcia Doc wines paired with traditional food.

 

CANTINE APERTE 2024 AT CASATO PRIME DONNE IN MONTALCINO

Here the DOP Tuscan bread made with regional wheat, sourdough and strictly without salt, is accompanied by very tasty Cinta Senese salami (medieval breed of pigs), aged pecorino cheese, extra virgin olive oil from Moraiolo, vegetables grown by the farmers, “Dante’s soup” made with the ingredients that were there in the year 1300 when the great poet passed through this area on his way to Rome.

At Casato Prime Donne in Montalcino the itinerary lasts about two hours and includes 5 stops in front of breathtaking views, works of art and oak barrels where guests will taste, in addition to traditional food, also the future Brunello from the barrel, the Rosso of Montalcino and Brunello also in the Riserva version. Stories and anecdotes, selfies and tastings make this experience unforgettable to tell to friends because it combines great wines, awarded internationally, with the most characteristic and historical flavours of Tuscany, in front of the views of Valdorcia, the first territory in the world to be registered in the heritage of UNESCO humanity in 2004 for the harmony created by peasant work.

CANTINE APERTE 2024 AT FATTORIA DEL COLLE IN TREQUANDA

At Fattoria del Colle the proposal is only on Sunday afternoon and has a more naturalistic connotation with a foraging experience accompanied by an environmental guide who will help you discover the secrets of the Tuscan albarium. The itinerary then continues in the sixteenth-century farm still inhabited today by the owner Donatella Cinelli Colombini, where there are the historic rooms of the villa, the cellar with the barrel room, the vinsantaia and the orciaia made in two concrete wine tanks and containing a collection of two-hundred-year-old terracotta jars. A real dive into nature and Tuscan traditions that ends with the immersive room that “teaches you to listen to the vineyards” and finally with the tasting of Dante’s soup accompanied by the Cenerentola Doc Orcia wine and the Brunello from the same year, 2019.

Two hours with tastings of 3 wines, 3 types of EVO oil and two very ancient dishes. The experience is designed for those who want to learn about history and plants in a fun way, spending a Sunday afternoon in a sporting way, photographing the landscape and photographing themselves in an authentic and beautiful setting of nature and traditions
