THE RISERVA IS ALREADY BORN SPECIAL
Brunello is generally a wine capable of lasting many years in the bottle, but Brunello Riserva is one of the greatest red wines in the world and was created for very long aging.
Donatella Cinelli Colombini produces Brunello Riserva in the Casato Prime Donne winery in Montalcino, Tuscany, only in the best years, the grapes are harvested by hand, choosing the best bunches of Sangiovese grapes one by one. Furthermore it is a slow and careful way of working that allows only perfect grapes at the same level of ripeness to be sent to the cellar.
At Casato Prime Donne, before the harvest, the vineyards are divided into small parcels based on the tasting of the grapes. The area with higher quality grapes is destined for the production of Brunello Riserva. Generally, the best grapes come from the Ardita vineyard, planted and cultivated at the highest point of the vineyards around the property. The Brunello di Montalcino Riserva leaves the cellar after at least six and a half years and is ready to challenge the centuries, giving wine lovers from all over the world moments of great emotion.
MAGNUM vs REGULAR
The two Riservas included in this offer are in the two formats that the winery of origin chooses for its wines. Regular for a romantic dinner or a meeting with a few close friends. The Magnum, on the other hand, is the format for a party! A wine stored in Magnum reaches its maturity more slowly and therefore lasts longer.
2016 THE HARVEST

The 2015 harvest was a flash harvest, but a dream one too, a true triumph, with all the bunches perfect, ripe, small and healthy from first to last to be picked.

ABOUT THE TWO VINTAGES
The 2015 harvest stood out for having more body and an already defined fruit, while the 2016 expresses a more elegant and silky tannic texture.
TASTING OF BRUNELLO RESERVA 2015
COLOUR: bright but pale ruby red typical of Sangiovese. The excellent structure of the wine is evident from its slow movements in the glass.
AROMA: Very rich, deep, fine, recalls ripe red fruits, citrus fruits, spices and has dark suggestions such as coffee, chocolate and tobacco.
TASTE: Extremely balanced and fine. Very satisfying, it opens softly in the mouth with great intensity and silky tannins. Then it lengthens with an exquisite persistence
