RCR is one of the crystal brands better known internationally but also a world of technology and handiwork where impassioned and creative people work as part of a team in this difficult period and know how to create really innovative solutions.

I am talking about Luxion, a RCR patent which revolutionized the world of crystal because it is ecological, so it does not contain lead and is produced without creating emissions. But it also has other positive aspects: the brilliance and sonority of the crystal but at the same time the elasticity of the glass, so it does not break. I have seen a Luxion goblet be twisted 16° twist for 14,000 times and it remained intact.
This is the quality at RCR. I took part in the presentation of the new collections to buyers

from all over the world. There were people from India, Japan, Brazil… and I have seen the new models among which the dish created by the chef Davide Oldani with a spiral which glorifies the food by reflecting light onto it.

Three are also the 5 cups from the project World’s best created by Luca Gardini World Champion Sommelier in 2010, to taste wine as with a tastevin. Courageous projects with prestigious partners that the desire to play in important ole among the worlds crystal brands.
Carlo Bennati, Production Director, guided me in a tour of the factory transmitting the passion of those who love their job

and RCR. I saw goblets worth 50€ being created destined to the British market, which were being checked and polished one by one.
I was left speechless by the ability of the grinders who manually finish the crystal. I have learnt many small secrets. Did you know that to make a glass with a fine stem one must produce separately the base and the cup, then heat them with a live flame, unite them and pull while twisting until the stem is nice and long and elegant? And, did you know that most of the glass that we through away in the glass recycling bins goes to the RCR ovens to become once again

vibrant glass and crystal? So now I am sure that from today you will be more careful with your recycling!

Finally, did you know that the official Brunello di Montalcino glasses are by RCR? And now the Orcia wine too has chosen a RCR glass, it is in fact the environmentally-friendly Luxion
