This is the best Brunello that Donatella Cinelli Colombini has ever produced. 600 bottles within a precious attire which tells her story: from being an expert in gold working from the Middle Ages to becoming a wine producer in Montalcino. 

This Brunello is a dream come true for Donatella Cinelli Colombini, the dream of a winery staffed only by women, Casato Prime Donne in Montalcino, the first in Italy, born as an act of courage and then to become flagship for women in the wine world. Every year an award is organized dedicated to the territory and to women who pave the way towards the future.

But also a dream to produce great wines in a cooler area of Montalcino, where the global warming has given new, great, quality potential. Today the vines planted by Donatella, the experimentation with selected autochthonous yeasts and the trials with barrels for the ageing with different origins and dimensions, all give excellent results.

Great and some excellent wines, characterized by elegance and harmony. These are exported to 34 nations and destined to a demanding and blue ribbon clientele.

The Brunello IOsonoDONATELLA (I am Donatella) is the result of 18 years of patient work, since 1998, when Donatella received two wineries from her parents: Casato Prime Donne in Montalcino and Fattoria del Colle in Trequanda in southern Chianti. Slowly she has transformed them into two excellencies in wine and tourism. Places where authenticity becomes a mixture between a story, high quality and emotions.

IOsonoDONATELLA is consequently a masterpiece that will only be produced in great vintages, such as the present vintage 2010 (5 stars), which has been celebrated all over the world for its extraordinary quality. Together with the wine there is a personal story, so that is why the bottle is covered with stars that shine in the light, and in the centre, they become a woman’s ring with inside a seal in gold. This is the symbol that Donatella has chosen for her wines. But there is another meaning too, because Donatella before becoming a wine producer Donatella graduated in history of medieval art with top marks and for years she has studied gold working from the Middle Ages: enamels, statues, seals and liturgical objects, or rather small bas-reliefs, often mounted on rings used to authenticate documents. Donatella has put her seal on her wine, as if to say once again, <<IOsonoDONATELLA>>.  The box that will package the bottle, studied together with the entire graphic project by Giuditta Parisi – Archimedia, is also a fragment of personal history: the external surface reproduces in fact the Pienza cloth, an old material with small diamond shapes that is well visible in the Maestà (1311) by Duccio di Buoninsegna, the most famous and celebrated masterpiece of Sienese art

A precious Brunello, studied in detail both for what is in the bottle but also on the

outside. IOsonoDONATELLA is made in only 600 bottles which will be rationed in their distribution all over the world to the best clients. The price to the public will be around  200€ per bottle, but, as it will be so rare, those who want to be sure to get one, must go direct to Donatella Cinelli Colombini’s wineries in the oldest and intact parts of Tuscany. IOsonoDONATELLA also becomes the hashtag #iosonodonatella that, from the beginning of December, will include images of the wine and not only. This will be a way of saying to all the “Donatella” the world over “Let’s unite” because all images connected to the name and not only to wine will be accepted. Wine, people, objects…… and at the end of next year, the creator of the best image will receive a real bottle of this precious Brunello.
