PRIZED WHITE TRUFFLE WEEKENDS 2026
THREE WONDERFUL WEEKENDS FOR MEMORABLE TRIPS TO TUSCANY OF BRUNELLO AND BREATHTAKING VISTAS: A WEALTH OF DIVERSE EXPERIENCES TO ENRICH THE MIND AND STIR THE EMOTIONS.
Immerse yourself in nature and rejuvenate while walking amidst vast landscapes at their most beautiful—when the vineyards are changing colour. Enjoy a white truffle hunt in the woods with dogs, followed by winery visits and tastings of Brunello, Chianti Superiore, and vintage Spumante. Explore the halls of a 16th-century villa, steeped in tales of romance and persecuted heretics. Take a short cooking class, sample extra virgin olive oil stored in ancient terracotta jars, and—for the romantics—enjoy two candlelit dinners featuring the Montalcino cuisine and white truffles. For those looking to pamper their skin, there is even a natural wellness area complete with a couples’ massage room and a vinotherapy bath.

VISIT FATTORIA DEL COLLE FOR AN AUTHENTIC AND IMMERSIVE EXPERIENCE
Fattoria del Colle is unlike any other place in Tuscany. It resembles a small hamlet surrounded by vineyards and woodlands. Having remained unchanged for centuries, the apartments and rooms possess an intimate charm that evokes the feeling of visiting your Tuscan grandparent’s home. There is no dress code—Tuscan elegance is informal—yet those who wish to dress up will feel equally at ease. Candlelit dinners on the veranda of the estate’s restaurant feature dishes prepared according to tradition but presented with refined elegance.
In this area, much like in Alba (Piedmont), the prized white truffle is renowned for its exceptional aromatic delicacy. It grows near oak and poplar trees close to small streams. This is where a truffle hunter will guide you with his dogs on a mini-adventure—an outing that calls for boots and a windbreaker.
Beyond the hunt itself, you can taste the truffles served on “crostini”, paired with a spectacular Metodo Classico vintage Brut Rosé Spumante. Don’t miss the chance to take a class and learn how to cook Tagliolini with truffles!
TRUFFLES AND GREAT RED WINES: TASTINGS, TOURS, AND THEMED DINNERS
Naturally, the highlight of the trip is the tasting of Brunello and other fine wines, accompanied by visits to the Casato Prime Donne winery in Montalcino and Fattoria del Colle in Trequanda—experiences that are distinct and full of delightful surprises. In the vat room where Brunello is born, you might even find yourself dancing a few steps of the “Trescone” folk dance; meanwhile, at Fattoria del Colle, you will discover a room dedicated to “listening” to the vineyards and an “orciaia” (oil cellar) where extra virgin olive oil is once again stored in centuries-old terracotta jars. Your guide will also lead you through the villa’s historic rooms—filled with antiques and curiosities—where Donatella Cinelli Colombini still resides today.
It is a journey rich in atmosphere and small discoveries, allowing you to return home feeling rejuvenated after learning so much and experiencing—through doing, smelling, touching, and tasting—a wide array of things.
