Nothing is like before covid, not even tourists. At least 4 types of visitors arrive in Italian wineries: the classic wine tourists, therefore the true enthusiasts of the nectar of Bacchus, the majority group who seek recreation in unspoilt nature, the high-spending guests, especially from abroad, who ask for exclusive moments and finally the Taliban of “wines without hands”, ultra-famous or with other extreme characteristics.
Another new element is the overtaking of wine experiences: the winery that manages to promote a truly exceptional wine tourism proposal well wins over the prestige of the wine.Indeed it enhances it enormously. For this reason the number, size and spectacularizing of the new tourist wineries is growing enormously with Hollywood effects and often far from the local culture.
However, the small, true and different still wins so, even if it seems a paradox, the “old-fashioned” cellars have more appeal than in the past.

Signs of change are also beginning to appear on prices and targets: experiences with wine begin to diversify according to the types of wine tourists, their expectations and their spending power. There are areas like the North West where this segmentation is based on the number and importance of tastings and areas in the South where wine hospitality managers are much more creative.

Fattoria del Colle proposes to lovers of Tuscan traditions the historic rooms of the sixteenth-century villa where the Grand Duke of Tuscany had made his secret love nest. A trail that includes the noble chapel, the Italian garden and ends in the barrel ageing cellar.
Wine lovers have two made-to-measure experiences. The first concerns the vineyard, all the areas of the cellar and as a highlight the room that teaches how to listen to the vineyards. An other makes you become “winemakers for a day” and allows you to produce your own Supertuscan wine complete with label.
