In the part of Tuscany where fine wines come from, where Covid-19 practically has never arrived, Donatella Cinelli Colombini reopens and renews the tourism activities from July 1st

Fattoria del Colle in Trequanda, a municipality where there have been no cases of Covid-19, and Casato Prime Donne in Montalcino, where those infected have been just a handful, thanks to a Sangiovese in a patron saint version, these are the locations where Donatella Cinelli Colombini, from July 1st, expects tourists and wine lovers.
She wants to offer them fun and regenerating holidays, or just a few hours rest, immersed in the beautiful and uncontaminated landscape, tasting wines of extraordinary quality.

Holidays in apartments and rooms with private and equipped outdoor area to eat out-of-doors. Weekly stays, but also 2 nights stays with two dinners and wine tastings. To sanitize against Covid-19, medical-surgical products and a hydrogen peroxide system are used.

For safety reasons daily cleaning cannot be done in the apartments and rooms, so they must we considered self care/self-catering with just a daily supply of clean linen.
PARKS, SWIMMING POOL AND HIKING
Fattoria del Colle has a total surface of 336 hectares and consequently offers wide spaces to regenerate out in the open air. There are 3 equipped parks where to sunbathe, admire the panorama and enjoy the quiet of the countryside, 1 swimming pool, 3 signposted hiking trails, where one discovers nature, a special trail dedicated to the vine. Loungers, deckchairs and outdoor tables, children’s games are all sanitized and distant to guarantee guests’ safety.

The restaurant at Fattoria del Colle serves dishes prepared by Alessandro the chef, with local ingredients chosen one by one or even direct from the vegetable garden. The wines from Fattoria del Colle and from Casato Prime Donne in Montalcino transform every meal into a unique, refined and satisfying experience.
There are themed menus made up of 6 samples of local traditional cuisine, there are 2 internal dining rooms, and a large outdoor space that offer guests privacy and safety. All of this promises lunches and dinners to be remembered. All that is required is to book in advance.
The restaurant offers a take away service for meals for those guests staying in apartments. Trays will be prepared with glassware and the wine.
The breakfasts too can be ordered and picked up at the restaurant with a tray and must be consumed directly in your lodgings or in the courtyards. These include traditional cakes and biscuits made by Patrizia the pastry chef, plus cheeses and cold cuts from local producers, fruit juices, eggs, fruit …

DAILY ACTIVITIES FOR THOSE ON HOLIDAY
To enrich the holidays of our guests with fun and informative experiences, a new program of activities has been prepared in view of the particular necessities of this moment and the need for safety.

PROGRAM:
MONDAY – at 10,00 am: departure from the Fattoria del Colle courtyard with cameras and mobile phones. Photography Safari with Silvia. Walking excursion to the most beautiful spots with the best panoramas at Fattoria del Colle for a selfie and landscapes snaps.
TUESDAY – at 11,00 am: under the gazebos ‘Brief cookery lesson’ with Patrizia the pastry chef, who will prepare Ricotta Montata (whipped ricotta cheese). A delicious dessert made with Vin Santo that everybody will be able to enjoy back in their own apartment.
WEDNESDAY – at 4,00 pm: in the Old Barn (maximum 20 people) Guided tasting of Brunello and Rosso di Montalcino, Chianti Superiore and Cenerentola Doc Orcia. Each participant will receive the tasting sheets of the wines, that tasting will be done with wine glassware. The spacious location allows people to have fun in a safe place.
THURSDAY – at 4,00 pm: in the courtyard at Fattoria del Colle, Snack from the vegetable garden, discovering the old Tuscan plants, then in the area of the garden dedicated to the cultivation of vegetables, the preparation of a typical snack with bread and freshly picked tomatoes (to be consumed in the apartment). Tortoise’s snack time too, they receive lettuce leaves.

FRIDAY – at 11,00 am: Archery – an adventure in the woods with bows and arrows to try and mimic Robin Hood. The targets are in the woods and in the fantabosco and foresee different distances. This is the right occasion to discover the themed trees invented by Donatella Cinelli Colombini (the map is in the documentation given upon arrival) – maximum 15 people.
SATURDAY – at 11,00 am: Excursion to the Casato Prime Donne winery in Montalcino (with your own car) for a hike through the vineyards and a tasting of Rosso and Brunello di Montalcino and of Brunello Riserva, the tour of the winery will depend on health standards in force at the time. The visit lasts about one hour and includes the fermentation areas, at least from the outside, the organic vineyards and the pieces of contemporary art such as the Brunello Calendar that illustrates the stars attributed to each vintage, the Modernacolo created for Carla Fendi, the frame where to take a selfie … The explanations introduce guests to the history of Montalcino and the secrets of the production of Brunello.
SUNDAY – at 10,30 am: depart from the Fattoria del Colle courtyard (maximum 15 people). Guided tour of the vineyards Breathtaking views, the Italian garden at Fattoria del Colle with its paths, the San Clemente chapel built in 1592 with its stories of heretics and Madonnas, the la camera that once belonged to the Grand Duke Pietro Leopoldo sovereign of Tuscany and his lover Isabella, the vegetable garden with its oldest and most curious plants like mandrake that has aphrodisiacal properties, wormwood – the green fairy and the pepper tree … An itinerary of aromas, stories and legends that includes also the tasting of 3 wines from Fattoria del Colle (Chianti Superiore DOCG, Doc Orcia Leone Rosso and IGT Il Drago e le 8 Colombe) and a typical Tuscan snack with freshly picked tomatoes from the garden.
